PRODUCT DESCRIPTION These rings are made from solid sterling silver and are hallmarked. Engraved on the rings in Goldplating over silver are the gaelic words “Mo Anam Cara” meaning “My Soul Mate”. In between each word there is a Trinity knot symbol also plated in gold. They were individually handcrafted by a Silversmith in Ireland. Band Width: Ladies Ring is 4mm. Meaning of Design Mo Anam Cara: The Gaelic words “Mo Anam Cara” translates in English to “My Soul Mate”. The meaning of the Trinity Knot: The Trinity Knot is the simplest of the Celtic knots. The Celts were very familiar with the idea of the trinity. There were many things in their culture that came in threes; the three stages of womanhood (maid, mother, crone) and the three elements (earth, fire, water) are two good examples of this. Early Christians used the Celts understanding of the trinity to explain the concept of the Holy Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) and Christians embraced using this knot as a symbol to express that concept in many of the early Christian illuminated manuscripts, such as the Book of Kells. The combination of the trinity knot into rings, linens, jewelry and other bridal designs is associated with eternity and eternal love. The trinity symbol predates the crucifix by hundreds of years. The ladies ring is available from size 5(J)to 10(T) The Trinity Knot, or the Triquetra, is one of the most common of the knot ilk. The term Triquetra comes from Latin, and it means “three-cornered”.All of the various interpretations agree on a culmination of three parts. Early Christian understanding views the symbols as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Another understanding can be found in a more metaphysical arena where the three corners represent mind, body and spirit.
